About this qualification

The OCNLR Awards in Awareness of Mental Health and Wellbeing have been developed to provide all people not involved with the delivery of mental health services, with an understanding of mental health and its issues.

The Awards aim to raise awareness of mental health issues and how to foster good mental health and wellbeing. The aim is to remove the stigma of mental health by providing an understanding of issues surrounding it.

The qualifications are useful for all people who have contact with the general public through everyday living, including carers, both in domestic and residential care settings, and those providing public services, such as, education, housing, transport and retail, both in employed and voluntary capacities.

These single-unit Awards are available at Level 1 and Level 2 to make the topic accessible to the broad range of abilities and needs of the intended audiences.
