About this qualification
The OCNLR Level 2 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Skills for Professions in Catering, Hospitality and Tourism have been developed to provide a flexible approach to study.
The purpose of these qualifications is to provide learners with the underpinning skills and knowledge required to enter employment in the catering, hospitality and tourism industry, or progress to further vocational study in these areas.
The catering, hospitality and tourism sector is changing and these qualifications cover not just the skills and knowledge needed to work in traditional areas of the industry, but other emerging areas as well.
Some people might be working, or hoping to work, as baristas in cafes and coffee bars, others may be part of the new generation of entrepreneurs who need business start-up skills.
The Level 2 Diploma can be delivered as part of a 16-19 Study Programme alongside English, maths, work experience and enrichment activities.
