About this qualification

Qualifications in Level 2 Skills for Professions in Health and Social Care aim to provide learners with the skills and knowledge required to progress to further study related to health and social care and ultimately to work in these or related sectors.

The qualifications are available as an Award, Certificate and Extended Certificate.

The Level 2 Award is a bite-sized qualification which acts as a ‘taster’ for those wishing to explore vocational study alongside learning skills.

The Certificate and Extended Certificates are more substantial qualifications which provide learners with the opportunity to consolidate and extend their learning in preparation for further vocational learning, into employment or an apprenticeship.
