The OCNLR Level 4 Diploma in Canine Hydrotherapy aims to develop learners’ advanced knowledge and professional competence in canine hydrotherapy, preparing them for independent practice and employment as canine hydrotherapists across a range of clinical and rehabilitation settings.
The qualification is designed to provide learners with comprehensive coverage of hydrotherapy theory, anatomy and physiology, orthopaedic and neurological referrals, gait analysis, applied water treadmill techniques, canine behaviour, massage, and professional practice. It has been developed in partnership with Greyfriars Veterinary Rehabilitation and Hydrotherapy Referrals to reflect current and emerging expectations from professional organisations and employers across the sector.
On successful completion, learners will be able to plan, deliver, and evaluate hydrotherapy treatments ethically and safely, and will hold the qualification required to support professional registration and membership with recognised industry bodies.
