The OCNLR Level 4 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy aims to develop learners’ knowledge and professional competence in canine hydrotherapy, equipping them with the theoretical understanding, clinical knowledge, and introductory practical skills required to work safely and effectively within hydrotherapy settings.
The qualification is designed to provide learners with a comprehensive introduction to hydrotherapy theory and clinical application, alongside canine anatomy and physiology, orthopaedic and neurological referrals, water management, and professional and ethical practice. It has been developed in response to the increasing adoption of Level 4 entry standards across the sector and in consultation with industry specialists.
On successful completion, learners will be able to apply their knowledge and skills within a canine hydrotherapy environment and will have a recognised qualification supporting eligibility for professional registration, as well as a clear progression pathway towards the Level 4 Diploma.
