About this qualification
The OCNLR Level 2 Award in Nature Based Interventions and Health introduces the concept of social prescribing to learners who are working in the environmental or outdoors sectors, who have been asked to support ‘green care’ interventions.
Many types of organisations can be involved in the delivery of green care, from gardening groups to wildlife trusts, national trust properties to city farms.
Staff may be asked to deliver sessions or run groups for people who have a whole range of conditions from dementia, physical impairment, who are in recovery from mental health or who have a wide range of special needs.
The OCNLR Level 2 Award in Nature Based Interventions and Health is for learners who are working, or wish to work, in the environmental or outdoors sectors, and have been asked to support ‘green care’ initiatives with little or limited knowledge of the concept of social prescribing.
