OCN London Qualifications Funded Through Adult Social Care Support Scheme

Wednesday 26th March 2025

We’re excited to announce that several OCN London qualifications have now been added to the list of eligible training courses supported through the Department of Health and Social Care’s Adult Social Care Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS).

Launched in September 2024, the LDSS is a government initiative designed to support the non-regulated adult social care (ASC) workforce in England. The scheme helps staff to develop new skills and specialisms, gain recognition for existing expertise, and advance their careers. It does so by allowing eligible ASC employers to claim back costs incurred when enrolling staff on approved courses and qualifications. Find out more here.

This is a welcome development that provides greater access to high-quality, targeted learning opportunities for the adult social care workforce—and highlights the value of OCN London qualifications in helping to build skills, confidence, and quality in care delivery.

The following OCN London qualifications are included on the funded list:
  • OCNLR Level 2 Award in Awareness of Dementia
  • OCNLR Level 3 Award in Awareness of Dementia
  • OCNLR Level 2 Award in Supporting Activity Provision in Social Care
  • OCNLR Level 3 Certificate in Activity Provision in Social Care
  • OCNLR Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care
  • OCNLR Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
  • OCNLR Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • OCNLR Level 3 Award in Education and Training
  • OCNLR Level 5 Award in Understanding Digital Leadership in Adult Social Care (officially launching 1 April 2025)

These qualifications align closely with current workforce needs—particularly in areas such as dementia care, meaningful activity provision, assessment and quality assurance, training delivery, and digital leadership in care.
