About this qualification

The OCNLR Level 3 Award in Handling and Managing Horses in Equine Assisted Learning is aimed at individuals who are already working, or intending to work, as facilitators, teachers or trainers in the specialised field of equine assisted learning.

The purpose of the qualification is to ensure facilitators of equine assisted learning have the required level of horsemanship to carry out the role safely and effectively.

Learners who successfully complete the OCNLR Level 3 Award in Handling and Managing Horses in Equine Assisted Learning, may proceed to OCNLR Level 4 Certificate in Facilitating Equine Assisted Learning.
