About this qualification
The Level 3 Award is intended as an introduction to teaching and training in a variety of contexts. It provides the knowledge required by teachers or trainers in the further education and training environment. The Level 3 Award has no teaching or training practice requirement, but does have an assessment requirement of an observed microteaching session or an assessed practice in a work environment. The Level 3 Award provides the knowledge and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of teachers or trainers related to equality and diversity, legislation and meeting the needs of learners. It covers the planning and delivery of sessions, motivating learners within a learning environment, assessment methods and record-keeping.
