OCN London to develop delivery and assessment of brand new Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care

Monday 11th March 2024

OCN London are delighted to share that we are currently developing materials to deliver and assess the brand new, Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) commissioned, Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care, due to be launched in June 2024.

The qualification framework has been created by national strategic workforce development body, Skills for Care, in collaboration with representatives and employers from the Care sector, with the purpose of reducing the costs and resources required when it comes keeping the adult social care workforce fully trained and informed.

This exciting new qualification will be accredited by us (pending approval) – endorsing its quality and occupational relevance, and ensuring that it is suitable for those building their foundation knowledge when entering into a new career in Health & Social Care.

Our comprehensive delivery package will include accessible learning materials, a variety of delivery and assessment models and a flexible learning strategy, to ensure high levels of learner achievement and flexibility for those delivering it.

Up to £53.91 million in funding is available from the DHSC, to assist 37,000 people working in direct adult social care roles in completing the new qualification between June 2024 and March 2025. On behalf of their employees, qualifying employers can submit an application for reimbursement of the qualification’s costs.
