This 1 hour 15 minutes workshop will give participants the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the key elements of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in the further education and skills sector. Participants will explore how ESD can be incorporated into teaching and learning, and investigate strategies to promote and embed sustainable development into their professional practice.
By the end of the session, you will be equipped with actionable strategies to inspire learners and colleagues, making ESD a meaningful part of everyday practice.

About the host
Mafalda Giudice is a trailblazer in sustainable pedagogy with over 16 years’ experience as an ESOL teacher. She also works as a Teaching and Learning Coach and Mentor, specialising in staff development, mentoring new teachers, co-observing sessions, and enhancing teaching, learning, and assessment practices. Passionate about innovation, Mafalda actively researches new methodologies and creates high-quality learning materials and strategies. At New City College, she leads the drive to embed Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) across both teaching and operational practices. Her mission is to support staff in their personal and professional growth.
