This course provides the understanding and skills necessary for the development of good assessment practices in all types of learning environments and leads to the regulated L3 Assessor Award.
The course has two pathways comprising two units: one knowledge-based mandatory unit: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment and one skills-based unit as follows:
Pathway 1: OCNLR Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement qualification
This is for assessors assessing non-competency based vocational qualifications whose purpose is to ‘meet agreed standards of assessment’
Unit option: Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
Pathway 2: OCNLR L3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
This is for assessors who deliver competency-based qualifications and for other staff who are assessing and quality assuring qualifications whose purpose is to ‘confirm occupational competence’.
Unit option:Â Assess occupational competence in the work environment
This course requires you to be involved in the assessment of learners either in a training environment or a workplace. Please contact jan@ocnlondon.org.uk if you need advice about the best pathway to follow.
This programme will be delivered over four 3-hour online sessions, with additional personal tutor support provided over TEAMS.

- Cost for OCN London Recognised Centres is £395 per delegate.
