New Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate Overview

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) recently commissioned Skills for Care to create a specification for a new qualification based on existing standards and requirements for those employed in a Health and Social Care role.

The new qualification, the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate, was developed in partnership with the Care sector through a series of focus groups and discussions with employers and subject matter experts.

The complete specification, together with additional supporting documents, is now available, and OCN London are currently working to develop the qualification.

The Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate is set to launch in June 2024 and, pending approval, will be available in the OCN London Health, Early Years and Social Care portfolio.
