Quality Assurance Manager

  • Location:   Hybrid - Travel to HQ in London as required
  • Remuneration:   Salary range: £41,935 – 46,757 (Full time)

OCN London is an established Awarding Organisation regulated by Ofqual with a mission to widen participation in, and provide access to, high quality and flexible education and training that is recognised, certificated and quality assured through a framework of accreditation.  

As part of the Qualifications Development and Assurance Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the operation and development of OCN London’s external quality assurance processes through working with an allocation of recognised centres.  

The Role   

You will be implementing the OCN London external quality assurance process. This will require you being able to:  

  • Implement regulatory requirements, any updates, guidelines, and requirements from Ofqual and in accordance with the General Conditions of Recognition. 
  • Undertake audits and assessments of internal processes, policies, and documentation to verify compliance with Ofqual regulations and standards and support completion of the Annual Statement of Compliance. 
  • Oversee the implementation on the CASS strategy. 
  • Manage the operation and review of OCN London quality assurance systems and external quality services across range of products. 
  • Manage and provide training for the external quality assurance team, centres and staff. 
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Ofqual’s regulatory requirements for the delivery and assessment of qualifications. 
  • Manage all issues of malpractice or maladministration. 
  • Maintain and provide evidence of your own continuing professional development. 

About you

To undertake this role we would expect you to have the below attributes:

  • Be educated to graduate level. 
  • Have experience of monitoring and reviewing quality assurance systems. 
  • Have experience of reading and writing EQA reports to a high standard. 
  • Possess excellent organisation, communication and ICT skills. 
  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. 
  • Possess to ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of organisations and individuals. 
  • Ability to make decisions and deal with potentially sensitive situations. 

About being part of the OCN London team

This role carries a salary range of £41,935 46,757 (dependent on experience) and is based on a 35 hours a week, Mon-Fri.
